Forgive Me While I Complain For A Bit

Wow, I've been busy. And not the good kind of busy. The tired kind. The kind where things I enjoy doing get pushed aside and then I (sometimes) turn into a nasty person because I am taking care of everyone else and not taking care of myself!

Does that sound selfish? I hope not, because I don't feel like I am a selfish person. Sometimes I just need to do things for me so that I am a happier and better-functioning person for everyone else around me, including my family.

Some things I have let go in the past several weeks are: this blog, excercising, having a regular girl's night out with friends, reading, and getting to relax in the evening after the kiddos are in bed.

Why? Because of life. I have been doing SO much hair, the kids have had SO many activites, sports, and just plain STUFF that I have been running (driving rather) around like a chicken with it's head cut-off. I am ready for a break. LUCKILY, a lot of things just ended last week and I am getting my wish. My schedule is all of the sudden clear. Okay, well, not clear, but a lot less busy than it has been.

I hope to catch up on here with lots of fun going-on's in the Collette Household recently.... because we have been having lots of that, busy or not.

ALSO! I get to go visit my sister in Vegas in 1 week! I am beyond excited and ready for a much needed break. I can't wait. Until next time...

I think everyone completely understands! A couple weeks ago, I insisted on getting my hair done one day because I just needed something for ME! Something to make me feel good! I can't even imagine all the activities! i only have two kids in activities now and it is already crazy. It is good for you to take time for yourself now and then!

AMEN! It's so funny you just wrote a post on this because I was just talking about this, this week! I really don't know what I'm going to do when I have to run more than jut malarie around! I can't wait til you come, I really do want to drive down for the day to go to lunch! Plus, I've had an envelope sitting here for 3 weeks needing to be mailed to you...so maybe I'll just hand it to you :)
