New Pictures

I had some pictures of my kids done a few weeks ago, and as promised, here are just a few of the many many darling pictures I received. Once again, AllysonKayePhotography did an amazing job. I have her link in my Fun Stuff list on the side of my blog. I love them.... and I think we got a lot of cute ones considering what a stinker Baron and Daphne were being!

It Wasn't a Matter of "If" it Would Happen.... It was "When"

Well, I knew it would happen, and it did. Jonah broke his glasses. I was in the shower on Sunday morning when he came in the bathroom and said "Mom, I was holding my glasses in my hand when all of the sudden they broke." Ummmm, right. He picked the right day to do it though. His birthday. I couldn't punish the kid on his birthday!! And we never did get the whole story of how they actually broke. Luckily for us, we've had them less than a year and Lenscrafters has a year warranty for kids glasses that you only have to pay 1/4 of the price to replace them. $30- awesome.

Jonah's Family Party

We had Jonah's family party on Sunday (his actual birthday) and he had a great time. He has been looking forward to his birthday since Daphne's back in January. It's so hard for him to have his the last one of the year. He received so many fun things. Andy and I gave him a Spongebob fishing pole, a Leapster with a Spongebob game (he's always sneaking Laylah's and then she gets mad), some Cars slippers, a bug catching kit, some clothes (I'm sure that was his favorite gift ;), Bedtime Stories the movie, and a nalgene water bottle (he is ALWAYS thirsty!!) He receievd a remote control boat from my parents and some money from Great Grandma Marge, a squirt gun from Great Grandma Darlene, and money, a giant coloring bok and a Make your own Paper Airplanes Kit from Andy's parents. I made a yummy sour cream fudge cake and we had chocolate ice cream too. Thanks to everyone who came. Jonah loves his gifts and had a happy birthday!

My neice Keirsta was trying to "trade" this piece of wrapping paper to Baron for the stroller. He almost went for it and then.... he ran away as fast as he could with the stroller!

He could hardly wait to get outside and start catching bugs!! His cousin Houstan is helping him. They caught 2 ants, 2 potato bugs, a ladybug, and a wasp. Yuck!

Jonah Turns 5

Wow. I can't believe my JoJo is 5 years old and starting kindergarten. Jonah is an amazing kid. I cannot imagine my life without him. He and I are such buds and we get along so well because he is JUST like his dad. Andy's mom will see Jonah do something and say "Andy used to do that exact thing when he was Jo's age. I can't believe how alike they are!" They are two peas in a pod. Jonah is our family comedian. He loves making people laugh and we are always laughing at his antics. He is so easy-going and mellow. He is a great brother and loves to make his siblings happy. He always shares and if someone is sad, he will give them a hug or try to make them laugh to cheer them up. He is a sweetheart. He loves being with friends. He is always asking to have friends over to play. He has a great imagination and can make a game out of anything. He will be content to play with a couple of toys for hours. He loves to swim, play the Wii, play games on the computer, play games like candyland and memory (and he always wins!) watch movies , bowl, mini golf, play in the dirt, jump on the trap, hunt for bugs, and get dirty. He is all BOY!! He teases and likes to play tricks. He is my worst sleeper and has been since he was a baby. He has nightmares and comes in my room a few times a week telling me he is scared of something or another (I guess that's what happens with such a BIG imagination!). He likes his door open and the bathroom light on at night. He is attatched at the hip to his "bear" as we call him. It's a little polar teddy bear he got for Christmas when he was 5 months old. He will still take a 2 hour nap if I tell him to. He is my earliest up in the morning- usually around 7:00. He is a great eater and likes just about anything. He used to eat a lot more, but as he's gotten older, he's started eating less. His favorites are: apples and cinnamon oatmeal, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, cheerios, eggs, peanut butter and honey sandwiches, apples, pears, carrots, spaghetti, artichokes, broccoli, squash, quesadillas, and every kind of breakfast food (pancakes, waffles, etc) he is not a fan of meat and doesn't really eat it unless I ask him to. He is such a great, fun, wonderful boy, and we all adore him. I can't imagine my life without my Jogie-Boy.

Right before my induction July 19th, 2004. Jonah was my largest baby at 10 lbs. 7 oz. and 22 1/2 inches long. I know, I am enormous!! His labor was my shortest- only about 3 1/2 hours.
Look at that chug-a-lug- he was in 3-6 month clothing when he was 2 weeks old.

First Birthday

Learning to walk

This poor kid had to have two surgeries under the age of 2. When he was 12 months he had to have tubes put in his ears and when he was 18 months he had to have his tear ducts operated on to unclog them. It was so sad and hard for me!
