The years of perfect, beautiful baby smiles are over. Here come the awkward years of crooked teeth and silly smiles, then come the braces, and THEN we'll see those beautiful smiles, with the nice, straight pearly whites once again! (The other top tooth is SO loose. It will be so weird when my little girl has NO front teeth!)

I remember running to grab my camera when Lexi was a baby and was getting her first tooth. I had wanted to capture that toothless grin just one more time. I found myself running to grab my camera again wanting to capture that last perfect grin before the years of awkwardness start just before Lexi lost her first tooth. She has three more loose teeth now. Yikes! (She will look so strange!) It's so exciting for the little ones though. Got to love that!
Yeah... I fear this age for my child too! I had huge teeth and I knocked out my 4 front teeth so I had an awkward time for a long time.
She still looks adorable.
